Happy Birthday Elizabeth!
Matilda Joslyn Gage portrayed by Renee-Noelle Felice celebrated her friend and fellow conspirator, Elizabeth Cady Stanton’s birthday anniversary by sharing stories of how she and Mrs. Stanton met and how they worked together along with Susan B. Anthony to form the National Woman Suffrage Association. Attendees at the party filled the tables at the First Presbyterian Church in Johnstown on November 12 enjoying birthday cake and ice cream donated by Stewarts Shops. Colene Jenkins great great granddaughter of ECS was in attendance.

Elizabeth is finally home To Johnstown, the birthplace where she lived until she was 26 years old. It has taken a dozen years to make this happen.
The statue was placed in the Sir William Johnson Memorial Park which lies between the Fulton County Courthouse where she spent a lot of time and the site of her home which is the present site of the Berkshire Bank. The celebration took place on August 26th, 2021, Women’s Equality Day. There was Music and Speeches and Food Trucks and a talk by Sue Macy, author of Wheels of Change, on the importance of bicycling to the suffrage movement. Coline Jenkins, Elizabeth’s great great granddaughter was here as well as Matt Glenn, the sculptor of Elizabeth. The ceremony was attended by well over 200 people.
